JD Groves
Worship Pastor, Elder
JD leads us in worship on Sundays both in music and liturgy. A guitar player and singer, JD enjoys his family, music, good coffee and time at the beach. He is an all-around fan of the ocean and likes body surfing (body whomping) Sandy's and Makapu'u, as well as surfing his home breaks on the Windward shores.

Sean Palmer
Lead Pastor, Elder
Pastor Sean serves as our Lead Pastor-guiding vision, Sunday morning preaching, and leading our staff. He is married to Jessica and together they have three kids. He's a surfer, Brazilian jiu-jitsu enthusiast, vinyl record spinner, craft coffee fan, and dad to two pitbulls and one trouble-puppy. He's also a fitness coach at East Side Fit Club in Kailua.

Kandis serves as one of the Administrators in the Daybreak Office.
Amanda Duke
Audio/ Visual Ministry Director
Amanda has been with our church since 2013. What started as offering to help wrap cables after service has grown over the years, and she now leads our AV Ministry! She is our A/V Ninja by day, and works as a laboratory scientist by night.
Annie Groves
Student Ministries Director
Annie serves as director to Daybreak Youth, our student ministries (7th- 12th graders). She has been married to JD for over ten years and they are parents of three little ladies one one man baby - Elianna, Claire, Melia, and Wesley. In addition to serving families at Daybreak, Annie enjoys running a photography business, writing, drinking coffee with good friends, and exploring our island with her family.
Mackenzie Howard
Kids Ministry Director
Mackenzie serves as the Director of Kids Ministry at Daybreak Church. Alongside her ministry role, she works as a speech-language pathologist in the school setting. Mackenzie enjoys surfing, baking, traveling, and tackling DIY projects, often sharing these adventures with her husband, Mike. She originally hails from Virginia, can ride a unicycle, and loves working with kids (specifically, the unfiltered and unhindered energy and joy they have).

Ministry Admin
Dana serves as one of the Administrators in the Daybreak Office. Dana is passionate about her community and wants to see Kailua prepared for any major disaster that may strike Hawaii at any time. She is also a licensed amateur radio operator, with the call sign WH6GOD. She loves quality time with family and friends.
